You know how you tell a kid to go to bed at night then you walk in the room and check to see if they are sleep? You see the kid close his eyes real quick when you cut the light on. lmao thats exactly what Ramos did when he got to the ground closed his eyes real quick like he was knocked out. Damn Shame Fix was IN
Even Rafael over on ESPN said the KO was highly suspect for the reasons already pointed out in this thread.
whats funny is listening to fat dan all saturday night...tweet away about how ridic the ko was.....goes over it again in his weekend scorecard...dedicating a paragraph to how staged it looked....yet he wont dare even think about linking it to top rank and arum even though theyd be the most suspicious culprits in the whole thing....too afraid hell no longer be welcomed by mannys camp and arum....what a piece of crap
Career defining moment? His career defining moment came over a year ago, when he he was gifted a title. When he tried hard against Jorge Solis, who's not 1/3 of the fighter Marquez is, Solis battered him for seven rounds and knocked him out cold. If he loses big, he stands to make more money as an opponent in the long term than if he put up a tough fight. Promoters are always looking for patsies with decent credentials to have their prospects fight as opponents. They'll always be able to call him a former titlist, even though the one he won is as paper as they come. If he looks like a threat, he doesn't get that work. If he looks awful and gets his butt kicked, he'll get more chances against rising prospects and the like. That's always how the sport has worked. Plus, Likar Ramos sucks. And finally, even if it was a paid dive, it probably wan't Top Rank that paid him. They have way too much to lose by doing something like that. The way he fell certainly looked funny, and it wasn't a 100% legit knockout, but I've seen guys fall that way 1000 times before, and almost never is it a fix. Usually, the guy decides he's going to quit, and then does it on the ground instead to retain some dignity.
No, JMM isn't a devastating KO artist at this weight but his opponent isn't as good as people think. He was known as a tune-up for the upcoming Pacquiao fight. I just hoped he gave JMM a few rounds at least.
You still didnt answer the question the op asked! Did Ramos Fake the KO or what ?????? **** look fake to me
YEa he was gonna win but Arum made a last second payoff and made him lose. As we could all see he was on the way to Koing JMM but Arum paid off the corner and they shouted at him to take it easy on JMM and told him to take a dive. JMM was in serious trouble so Arum was forced to pay him off.
how exactly did he break his fall? and it is not a proven fact that you have to be knocked out instantly but clearly we are not dealing with logic here, simply nuthuggers
Nobody is saying that JMM was going to lose dumbass! The point and question was did he fake being knocked out! Watch the video and you tell me! Look how he goes to brace his fall then all of a sudden closes his eyes like he is knocked unconscious!
The **** looked fake he looked like he was keeping his eyes closed on the deck, but i don't know how much of a tamato can the other guy is
do you think Arum would waste his time faking a non televised bout in a foreign country to help American PPV sales ? Makes a lot of sense. The fight was fixed by the choice of opponent who has his chin in the air.
Ummm Yes it wouldn't be the first time Arum bribed or fixed a fight!!!! He didnt expect that **** to go Viral!
