Mercer. Lewis was the fighter that was visibly hurt more than Mercer, just like Lewis was the only fighter to be hurt in the second Holyfield fight. It's a fight and the man that gets hurt the most is the loser. This "I had it this many rounds for ..." argument is for ***s.
This. In every fight Lennox has ever performed unimpressively his opponents have supposedly been in the shape of their lives and Lennox himself at his worst. Lewis 6-4, could see it as a draw as well.
no, I don't think Mercer beat Lewis.. But he made him look very unimpressive in a close and entertaining fight.
No, Lennox getting the decision was the correct one. Mercer was awesome that night though, gave Lewis a very hard nights work (very small ring that night mind).
Vit gave Lenox the beating of his life and chased him out of the sport.See, it wasn't that hard to understand... oh wait you are a brit :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
Lewis won on his terms. He decided to fight the way he did, Mercer did not take him out of his game plan. Kinda like Mavrovich and .... dare I say it Rahman 1, Lewis decided to brawl, Mavrovich could never hurt him, and Rahman struck gold. The folks that say Lewis has a glass jaw should see this fight. The chin wasn't granite/iron/diamond/titanium/unobtanium? but it wasn't glass either.
I guess the general consensus on here is that old Mercer gave Prime LL a better fight than Prime Big V gave Old LL LL TKO6 Big V /thread 6-6 = the new TKO 6
