filipinos lost more? boomboom was an overhyped fighter. what was lost again stinky? and you say de leon exposed boomboom's chin? i say that's all true. and you could also say penalosa exposed gonzales' liver. how about that? almost all, except some filipinos, knew that boomboom didn't have a shot at that one. it was not a surprise. de leon beat a fighter who he was supposed to beat in the first place. but gerry beat a champ who was supposed to pummel him to retirement. i'd say mexico clearly lost more that night. well, they lost a champ. and the only thing the philippines lost was bautista's overhyped and unblemished record.

i'm filipino but to lose in devestating fashion in the first round kinda negates those 5 wins. Can't win them all. Not to take anything away from any of those bouts, people came to see fights based on nationalities. Just what the hell does that cup mean anyways in the grand scheme? "We're the better 3rd world country":smoke

I'm really impressed with Daniel De Leon..he went for the kill. I hope Bautista learns from all this. Ain't no shame in getting decked in the 1st round. Happens to everybody. Its how he will bounce back which will win him respect.

Congrats though to the mexican fans on De Leon...it was a very nice knockdown.

you're a total dumbass. you mean if you were a fighter, you would rather lose all six fights by close decision than win 5 fights, one of which was a championship fight and lose one by 1rd ko?

In this post you just put down the whole event .
A conclusion after you is there was no one fight really worth of the "world" level.:nut

I can't agree with you, any title fight is the title fight, until there
is unified champion then any one
titleholder even WBO have the right to be called world champion.

There were two world level fights between rightfull champion and rightfull chalenger.
So there is a draw in these fights. The outcome however is that
Leon beating hyped Bautista took his hype to his assets rising
his stock high up and bringing Bautista stock high down.
The other title fight didn't bring any hype and the winner isn't going
anywhere far with this win especially being at the end of his career.

And thats grammar issue? Bautista was supposed to be the next PAC.
Leon beating him show that he is p4p worthy contender.
He rised his stock as high as high Bautista was hyped by Filipinos.

Now Bautista is called a grade A china, while people gloryfying Leon everywhere.
Look at the first page of ESB, there are two fresh articles about
Leon-Bautista fight and none about the 5 other Filipino wins.
Sure you are the grammar freak.

Glad you ask the question. If you were from Texas you could answer properly:
    Who won: we did!
Who lost: we did and we proud of it!

Filipinos had more wins so thechnicaly they won "world cup" event.

Filipinos lost more important fighter in the big picture, and at the
same time Mexicans won the new hype, so Filipinos lose.

Taking account of both above cases it was a technical draw.

it's because they are the main event you dumbass but that doesn't mean that lone fight negates the other 5 fights: it's like disrespecting the credit due to the other fighters win or loss like it ain't supposed to be significant! if you're only crediting bautista-pdl you're over your head stinkybreathe! how bout the fight of penalosa? that was one of the great upsets of the year! but you don't wanna credit it because penalosa's old and doesnt have a"future' already! then if you're into not crediting old, over-the-prime fighters why make such threads like "barrera will school pac?" because you think barrera have a future after he wins that fight? what are you trying to prove in making threads like that? well, this proves you're only in to hating pac even if you say you ain't a pac hater, hypocrite. and even if you put much credit to the pdl-bautista fight then this proves that you are ignorant on some matters::patsch boom2x is just too raw for such a heavy puncher like p.d.l.! it was proven after the fight and now everyone knows that! but since you are one ignorant *** you won't look at the facts presented to you only your obssessive hate to pinoy fighters. don't try to deny stinky, your hypocrisy radiates like your stench.
