Roach was saying Cotto's trainer is in-experienced, and he noticed some of Cotto's habbits. I did not see the fight yet! Did Pacman pounce on Cotto's habits and mistakes, or did he just blitz him?

Don't know what habits Roach saw but his game plan was executed well by MP. One thing for sure, Roach was right when he said Cotto's trainer was green. He didn't really help Cotto much as far as laying out a strategy.

Only Freddy Roach knows, we are only mortal and cannot see what is in front of us.

No, Roach figured out nothing. Cotto gave them way more trouble than they expected. Freddie is just lucky his boy is superhuman.

I think he figured that Cotto isn't great on the back foot - though I'm not sure those were the intended tactics to put that plan into force.

Roach got it right in saying Santiago was green...That is all, Cotto fights the same way he always does because he has no one to guide him.

Right. A great trainer is like a top jockey in horse racing. If the horse gets into trouble early, the jockey can guide him out of it, and position him to make a final move.

this. it came down to Pac being able to take Cottos best shot while Cotto couldnt deal with Pacquiao's power, movement and workrate.

Fighters need to be inconvenienced/challenged/guided in their preparations for a fight. This creates a warrior mentality and gives each fighter a cutting edge. From what I could see of Cotto's camp he was the one callling the shots and setting the agenda, which IMO is a recipe for disaster.

Trainers can do so much but in the end it comes down to who's the better fighter and in this fight it was Manny.

Agreed, although Manny directly has Roach to thank for getting him to the level he's at now. Manny himself acknowledges the influence Roach has had on his career.

Roach is the best coach in the business right now, bar none.

Absolutely. Kudos to Roach for spotting Manny's potential and steering him to where he is now, and kudos to Manny for taking on board Roach's guidance. The success has been spectacular.
