Did Roldan have more power than Hagler?

    That’s low, people who pick on Mark Ant forget they’re apart of his legend he isn’t apart of there’s he will go down in forum history.

    Not only that but the punch actually landed on Hagler`s gloves as he blocked.

    In ko magazine in 1988 before the barkley fight...tommy hearns was quoted as saying he'd never been hit so hard as roldan hit him.

    No, he did not. That right hand from Hagler that dropped Roldan on the seat of his pants was the hardest shot of the fight.

    I reckon Hagler could have fought him three times and knocked him out every time. Each fight a little bit sooner than what happened after their first go round.

    Hagler is the one with all of the middleweight title KO defenses.

    Those clubbing right hands could well have been a bit harder than Hagler's sharper more efficient blows. Roldan also invested quite a bit in those rights where as Hagler threw more with textbook form.

    Roldan was a very physically strong guy with a kind of brute awkwardness to his shots that could take you by surprise. Hagler was the more clinical technician and the faster, more explosive puncher. Different kinds of power really, effective in different scenarios.
