Pulev, who is the undisputed JTFO KO king (he's scored at least three JTFO KOs, IIRC), stopped Brit Level Battler Matt Skelton with a body shot jab KO aka BSJTFO KO This content is protected Skelton was in agony but he wasn't having a seizure like he'd been electrocuted like Rosario was. Hence why I strongly suspect Jermallo tazed him from ringside and I'm sure the truth about that will come out one day.
Lmao. When guys shamefully quit against certain fighters they were made to "No mas" yet here we're calling a tko a "fix" because "it didn't look like a hard punch". This board continues to amaze
Whether it was a dive or not I don't know. I do think that Rosario embellished that reaction a whole lot. It was just too strange to be natural.
Yes, of course a fighter took a dive during a unification fight that would lead to big paydays if he won. Why are boxing fans so stupid?
Plenty. Not common but happens enough to see a few, it’s the most likely way to knock someone out with a jab.
That was a legit KO. I wouldn't have been too mad about a 6th round stoppage either, except that it was a unification bout and Rosario clearly was still trying to win and not just survive. I've seen the idea he had a seizure tossed around which is definitely untrue. That was just pain, grief, and abdominal injury. I would also say I think it was his bladder that got hit, not the solar plexus. The appendix and a hernia also came to mind as possible causes. Sometimes you get cysts, blockages, stones, or tears in different parts the abdomen that feel very bad after getting hit. Hopefully he's had an MRI at this point and has a doctor who is looking out for his best interest. Or it could have just been an authoritative jab to the belly, especially given how incredibly nervous he was and perhaps he didn't anticipate it. But it definitely wasn't a dive, I'm not sure I'd believe that if he came out and said it was.
eric morales knocked out zaragoza with a solid shot to the plexus. zaragoza went to his knees, was breathing hard and at the count of nine, he looked up at morales that said, "you got me kid." that was hard shot though. this did NOT look at all that hard of a punch. hard to say.
Not only that....but the jab hit Rosario's arm/elbow first and that would have reduced the impact of the jab even more. I'm calling shenanigans on Rosario.
I am thinking maybe he wasn’t flexing his abs/stomach at the time he got hit, which would make it a lot easier to get the wind knocked out of you. Charlo threw a jab to the head right before the jab to the body, so perhaps Rosario was focused on that first head shot and didn’t tighten/brace his stomach in time for the second jab to the body.
U do realize every fighter when asked about how hard Mayweather hit, and they say he can punch. Clearly the pretty boy Floyd version could crack! Not to mention that he had series hand problems that affected his power in the higher weight class.
Most people don't remember Mayweather stopping Sharmba Mitchell with a straight right hand to the solo plexus.
