Try telling that to his moronic fanboys like Loudon, who are as fixated with his weight gain, and loss as those Islamic ****s who claim Allah told them it is ok to bomb people.

Are you actually saying that in losing muscle mass in a short period of time, it is impossibe for it to be a contributing factor to the slowing of reflexes, after a long professional career, to someone in their mid 30's?

If you want to hold on to that claim, then ok, i will enjoy watching you wallow in your stupidity.. Much like a hog rolling in its own ****.

You have schooled no one on anything, and just look like an ass at this point.:patsch

Haha! You're now comparing me to a terrorist.

It was a combination of age, and what he'd put his body through. It's as simple as that.

Chad Dawson had a nightmare last year trying to get down to 168 instead of his normal weight of 175.

John Scully had him running up mountains for two weeks, and he didn't even lose anything. It can affect people in different ways. But Chad was younger, with less fights, and less miles on the clock.

Losing fat isn't that hard, if you train hard and eat right. But losing actual muscle is completely different.

Roy was fit and healthy at 196 pounds with hardly any body fat. But then he then did nothing much apart from run hard everyday to lose his weight. He burnt through his muscle fibres, and it depleted his body.

It's a joke that you're passing it off as nothing.

He was running on fumes for the last 3 rounds of the first Tarver fight.

That win gets underrated because Roy looked human for the first time..

The way he dug down in the last few rounds was a true testement to his greatness.. That was pure heart.:yep

It was pure heart. The tank was empty. Yet he's telling me that his tank being empty had nothing to do him with dropping back to 175?

    He's having a laugh!

You seem just as fixated on Roy as any one of his biggest fans. Some of your posts are a little strange, to be honest. I think you need to relax a little.

Roy said before getting in the ring with Tarver that the weight was hell to get off and he was only about a 7 out of 10..

I remember having a bad feeling. But he pulled it off.

He was actually in much better shape for Tarver 2, but just got caught with that shot.

He had plenty of time to adjust to the weight his problem was he started getting hit on his Glass Jaw. If weight drain was an issue he would have lost the first Tarver fight instead of the second when he had even more time to adjust to the weight.

Roy's problem and reluctance to fight the big fights was his Chin. he has a Glass Jaw and always has.

And even if you want to blame the 'muscle loss' it wasn't 25 pounds like people claim he weighed in at 186-188 on fight night at Light Heavyweight he weighed 193 for the Ruiz fight. That is a difference of 10 pounds max.

Roy's abysmal Chin explains a lot of his career decisions if you sit down and look at the way he carefully and cautiously moved through weight divisions.

I know how you feel about Roy's chin, and I am not gonna argue with you about it.

I also am not blaming the knockout loss on weight issues.. He used Mackie Shilstone for Tarver 2 and was adjusted back to the weight.. Was he the best version of himself? No, he was in his mid 30's and started to slow quite a bit when compared to his younger years. And like you said was starting to get hit a lot more.

I think he was clearly weight drained in the first Tarver fight though.

Yes, Roy was in the best possible shape for the rematch.

I read a quote from Virgil Hunter about three months ago, where he said he'd spoke to Roy regarding Mackie Shilstone. Apparently Roy said to Virgil "Mackie's great at putting the weight on, but he can't take it off."

I've often wondered why Mackie didn't work with Roy for the Tarver fight, when he'd been with him for Ruiz and the Tarver rematch.

According to Thomas Hauser, Roy got on the scales at 199 in the dressing room before the fight. Minus 3 pounds for his clothes, and he was 196. Hauser is very respected, and would have no reason to lie.

Roy's fight night weight at 175, was 186 after rehydrating.

But first of all, he obviously had to get to 175 or less to make weight.

So he went from a solid 196, down to 175.

    That's a difference of 21 pounds.

Around ten pounds of that weight was actual muscle.

You say that Roy's abysmal chin explains a lot of his career decisions?

He went up to HW at 34, after 49 fights, you fruitcake!

What's the last thing you'd do if you were a LHW and you were cautious of your chin?

Your posts are nearly as bad as Foxy's, and that's saying something.
