    Watch Jones against Clinton Woods.

    Then watch him against Tarver.

No-one gets old that fast. No-one goes from electrifying to a shadow like that (though Morales fan will tell you he did between beating Pac and then being beaten by him 2nd time around).

The weight loss is not an excuse, it is the reason.

Clinton Woods is a joke. Tarver proved it when they fought each other. Do you think it could just be that Tarver is a better fighter than Woods and that is why Glass Jaw Roy got beat?

Do you think Tarver would have beaten Roy Jones in 2002? Seriously??

You already know that nobody respects you as a poster, so why even give us your thoughts on this topic...seriously? I only want to know what real boxing fans think about this topic. A degenerate with preconceived notions of fighters having glass jaws...we don't need to hear from posters like that. Glass jaw fighters don't hide their chins for 14 years in this sport.

Jones never had a glass jaw his whole career, otherwise he would have been Amir Khan'd years before he got stopped. Watch the first Griffin fight, he took some clean head shots in that one and shook them off like dandruff. Losing the weight ****ed with Roy's punch resistance. I'm not saying he was ever Oliver McCall, but there was no indication that his chin was weak before he lost the weight and lost to Tarver. Stick to the facts.

Who knows? It is why they fight the fight to find out who is better. Clinton Woods was never a great fighter on the World level. Jones and Tarver proved that.

So it has nothing to do with Tarver just being a better fighter than Woods which was PROVEN in the ring? And I am the one that is a degenerate by saying this? :patsch

Wow, you really have no knowledge on this subject. Roy not being suspended had NOTHING to do with how much was in his system. Jones was not suspended because at the time Indiana did not have a law about drug testing, and Jones' lawyers were able to work out a deal even to stop Jones from having to take another immediate test. Jones actually had to have his urine samples from his next two fights sent to Indiana for testing. Both tests came back negative, of course. Roy Jones also got off easy by agreeing to make a charitable contribution to the Indianapolis Police Athletic League.

I find it hilarious that you are calling me a dumbass, and you have no ****in' clue what you are talking about.:rofl I think that you need to go back and research the comments of Marian Muhammad, who was the secretary of the IBF when this took place.

It's also kind of suspicious that BALCO, the designer steroid agent to the stars when down right after Jones' fight against Ruiz. Then, Jones next fight after BALCO was busted and out of business was against Antonio Tarver. We all saw the difference in Jones, and it sure as hell wasn't the very small weight cut that everyone dramatizes. What an amazing coincidence that the big celebrity doping ring was broken up right in between Roy Jones having his greatest moment and being rated as without a doubt the #1 pd 4 pd boxer in the sport, to being considered completely shot all within the same year.

You know how I know you are lying lol. You used the word "law" lol...and not the word "rule". You have these assinine takes on what you think happened with Roy lol. You can not be counted on to give us fans a reasonable opinion. We don't want to hear about your ridiculous unfounded claims/opinion on Jones and roids. Whether Jones took them or not, you don't know more than anyone else on this subject. My thread topic doesn't even discuss roids. Jones working out a deal, and making charitable contributions lol...

Tell you what lol...tell Manny Pac to train for 4-5 months to go up to 160 to fight either Pav, Sturm, or Abraham...and then ask Pac to go back down to 140 in 6 weeks, and fight J.M.M or Valero.

Clinton woods beat Glenn Johnson.....after he fought Jones.

Jones was so much better than everyone before he went to HEavy... i think people forget that.

Its easy to judge a fighter after the age of 35.

Weight loss did play a part but I also think losing 25lbs @ 35 has something to do with it.

If he did that earlier in his csreer I dont think the effect would be so profound.

Woods has nothing to do with nothing. Nobody is changing your mind about roy having a glass jaw so who cares what you think. Tarver was really good when he beat Roy, and is now called a bum not because he lost to Johnson, but because he lost to Hop.

    I would love to respond to this thread, but i got banned last night {for nothing, absolutely no idea what i done wrong ?} so i am walking on egg shells on this site at the moment, if i say anything about any American boxers i fear i could be banned again, portraying this sites home boxers in a bad light is the only reason I can think of that caused the ban, I only made out that perhaps some current American boxers have question marks about their greatness and I get banned :roll:, no swearing no rudeness, no links to other sites, nothing and i got banned :-(}

You really don't have a clue. I used the word "LAW", because I was talking about the LAWS of the State of Indiana. I used words directly from the mouth of the Secretary of the International Boxing Federation. You are making yourself sound like a complete moron, and do you notice that nobody is backing you up? That's because a few years ago, obviously before you started following the sport closely... this was all common knowledge. Like I said, rather than running your mouth, making a fool of yourself.... do some research. There are still a few articles and interviews with officials on the internet about the case. There is proof that Jones worked out the deal and made that contribution to the Indianapolis PAL. Jones himself doesn't even deny it. Just like he was forced to send the urine samples from his next two fights back to Indiana for testing.

I clearly know much more than you about this subject. You are clueless.
