Why is it so hard for you people to understand that Roy can't take a good punch? The evidence is there from him getting knocked down by Lou De Valle, to Tarver sparking him with one punch, to feather fisted Glen Johnson knocking him out for 6 minutes to the handpicking opponents and only fighting on his terms I remember at one time Roy would only let his opponent wear Grant Gloves he would not allow them to wear Everlast or Reyes gloves looking back it was probably to help protect that Glass Jaw. Roy Jones was a media creation by HBO who fought handpicked opponent after handpicked opponent. Roy is one of the reasons HBO no longer signs fighters to contracts because of the way he used that as a way to avoid fights.

Nah man, he was already losing his reflexes, speed and power regardless of the weight. You can see in his fights before that, he wasn't has fast as he used to be. But maybe his punch resistance went down. Jones HAD been caught with good punches before that and never was wobbled not even once.

 

That is incorrect. He was knocked down by Lou Del Valle in 1998. Well before the second Tarver fight. You are lying.

It is on youtube. Jones has always had a fragile Chin. he was just able to avoid punches and avoid the top competition for years.

 

Hmm looked in youtube and couldn't find it, I don't know if i should trust Rico, he just hates Jones...

 

Roy has always had a Glass Jaw.

 

Why didn't Hopkins or Toney Kod him then? They did caught him with good punches, and he wasn't wobbled.

 

Hopkins is not a power puncher never has been.

The Toney fight was a boring fight neither guy was willing to engage and the Hopkins fight was the same way.
