Although I still get a buzz watching certain fighters like Hasegawa, Khan, Gamboa, Mayweather, and Pacquiao, I really cannot say I enjoyed last night's fights. It was interesting to watch on a technical level, and I will be reviewing it to see techniques I can pick up but overall......it just doesn't have the WOW factor like watching a Roy Jones fight. I even miss watching Hamed, his performances in his prime were spellbinding. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQsTSdCj-rE&feature=related[/ame]
jones and de la hoya were the big guys when i was growing up. i miss them a lot. watching mosley-de la hoya i right now. off topic, that must be the only roy jones jr highlights without one of his terrible songs.
What do you mean "terrible"? Why, I remember Roy's best, inspired by SNV himself... This content is protected Terrific song.
the video on top...with 8 million views.... good one. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDWnMXzgeZo[/ame]
yeah snakeface's one is definitely the best RJJ highlight video. God, just watching Roy beat the **** out of people is ridiculous.
TBH I really never liked RJJ (although I respected his immense talent). I would have liked him more if he mastered the art of boxing and did not solely rely on his natural ability. I think Bhop and Toney, if the circumstances where different, could have beat him in their primes but he did beat them both when they were both great fighters so all the power to him.
Cant say i was ever a fan of him, but i can imagine that boxing might not feel the exact same when a real favorite is gone....
watch his old fights brethren....enjoy... might not be the now. but ..a staple in the great name of the sport. always enjoyable.
that radio city music hall roy vs david tedesco show was something spectacular. arrived late....via chopper on the roof from ballin with jordan..shows up and comes to the ring with redman and method man..... whitney houston sings the national anthem ...and then big roy puts on a great show for the fans. amazing show
No doubt snakeface :good, i wont deny Roys greatness, although I'm not a fan, he was on his own level in a lot of areas within the ring. Probably wont see a pure physical talent like him for a long time. And while i withheld it begrudgingly in his prime, i give him respect and props..... hes a great fighter.
