I think it was the fact that he was severely dehydrated that finished his career. He was worried about getting water logged like James Toney supposedly was against him. So he didnt really rehydrate. That meant that
he didnt have enough water in his brain to protect his brain as it crashed against his skull, due to Tarver punches.

After that fight his punch resistance was never the same
