Did Roy Jones Throw The fight for his Good Friend Joe Calzaghe!!!!

I am still in shock...the fight last saturday has had me turning in my sleep wondering why didn't Jones finish Calzaghe after the first knock down when he had him hurt? For the first couple of rounds it was plain to see that Roy was faster and stronger. Calzaghe look like he could'nt touch him then all of sudden Roy started going into a shell. Calzaghe started taunting him droping his hands, sticking his chin out and hitting Roy with combos like he knew Roy wasn't going to hit him like that anymore. Former light heavy weight Glen Johnson said that Roy knew if he stood strong he would knock Calzaghe out so he back off and fought like a wimp. He also said that Roy must of made an agreement with Calzaghe. Why would Glen say that??? Do he know something we don't know. Fact is He does know about the boxing world business more then we do. I did a little research and found out that Roy and Calzaghe did state from time to time that they were good friends. At the weigh in U can see when facing each other they both were smiling and laughing clearly not like the Calzaghe vs Hopkins weigh in there was no hate there. Another thing is the fight was made over a text massage. U don't text Your enemies U text your friends. Some may say Roy's old and Roy's shot but I say I don't believe that. Roy has been knock out twice not beat up and knock out twice but knock out by flush punches. He still has his skills and his wit. He held back in the Calzaghe fight, he wasn't out class,he didn't lose his stamina, he wasn't knocked down nor hurt. He just let his good friend Joe Calzaghe beat him FOR WHAT EVER REASON.

Yeah that was it, and so did Kessler, Lacy and everyone else Calzaghe ever fought. RJJ also pretended to be knocked out against Johnson.

Did you see Jones's face pouring with blood as he fought on with one eye? If he wanted to throw the fight, he'd just have hit the deck and got out of there with minimum damage and pain.

Every time you think you're seen the worst thread ever, another one crawls out of the woodwork and makes another little piece of you die.....

He didn't throw the fight but I'll say that he sure as hell didn't fight up to his potential. He had Trinidad in trouble several times and didn't put any effort into finishing him. Roy was juts a punching bag last weekend. I'm a fan but Roy needs to retire.

I actually scored the fight in Roy's favor. Don't know what those judges were thinking! Olympics all over again for Roy! Roy was Robbed yet again :yep

Thats was to make in more believable. They do that with wrestling all the time. Why didn't Calzaghe finish Roy with his gushing bloody eye . Isn't Joe good enough to take out a one eyed shot old Roy Jones jr. It should of been easy pickings but he seem to want to play around instead of knocking Roy out. It was staged. Thats why it never got that serious. The greatest trick the devil ever played on the world was to make them believe he didn't exist. You guys don't know who the puppet masters are your only there to watch the show.

im not gonna bash on you because when you see a boxing hero lose...it makes you think irrationally...kinda like knowing your gf cheated on you...you dont think straight...

but i actually believe that Calzaghe didnt finish Roy because they were friends...and i can see your point on the texting thing and the friendly relationship...but let's get one thing straight...

i dont think friends give each other bloody ****in faces! or maybe that was an accident between friends and hence he didnt finish him when Calzaghe most likely couldve...

i was rooting for Roy in this one...but i think it was apparent that he lost his killer instinct...

i blame his new found solice in jesus...but idk...maybe jesus told him not to beat JC
