Did Sam Peter finally retire?

    Last fought just over a year ago, weighing in at a career high 291 lbs. against a club fighter. I didn't hear of any formal announcement, but maybe I missed it. Anybody know if he finally hung the gloves up?

    If not, I would love to see him get back in reasonable shape and fight Bermane Stiverne. Always thought that would be a pretty good matchup.

    Stiverne better train for this fight, because Derric Rossy is no pushover. In the meantime, this gives Sam Peter more time to get his ass back in shape haha.

    If Rossy had a better chin i'd probably pick him here. But this will probably play our similarly to the Ray Austin fight, with Stiverne coming back to win while being behind on the cards. Excellent opportunity for Rossy. I just don't see him being able to avoid Stivernes long enough to make it to the cards....

    Surely that's the last we'll see of Sam. I certainly hope it is anyway.

    Do you have anything to do with Chauncy these days Charles? He's another guy who should get the hell out of the fight game while he is still functional.

    He's had a few fights scheduled over the last couple of years, that was the only one he went through with. Wonder where he would stand if he actually got serious?

    Sam was invited to contest a Super 8 tournament in New Zealand a year or two ago. But didn't end up competing.
