That's one question I haven't seen answered in all this news floating around.

If he didn't, fine. But if he did, is there a guarantee that he'll get higher paydays w/ Showtime than he would've if he signed the multi-fight contract w/ HBO?

According to Stevenson's promoter, Showtime offered "much more money". And it looks like it's a two fight deal.

It'd be funny if Hopkins were to beat Shumenov--and then retire! Where'd that leave Stevenson then?

That's perfect. He can fight this fight, then beat Hopkins and fight Kovalev afterward

It would leave him fighting Isaac Chilemba, then Bute, then Brahmer, then Mohemeddi, etc etc etc.....

He'll fight anyone in the division not named Kovalev.:-(
