I think the word 'duck' is overused by boxing fans

I think there a very few fighters genuinely scared of other fighters.

I dont think Mosley is/was scared of Floyd or vice versa, it may be just that he didnt want that fight at the time. I also dont think Manny, Floyd or any other P4P fighter is genuinely scared of any fighter.

Boxing politics get into the way of many fights and there are tons of reasons why fights dont get mad other than 'ducking'

With that said , it does seem that Mosley didnt want to fight Floyd then, for whatever reason

Mosley said he didn't wanna fight Floyd in november 2006 cause he was going on vacation, but that he would fight him in early 2007. It should've been Floyd against Mosley instead of Collazo, or Mosley against Floyd instead of Baldomir.

Mosley didn't wanna fight PBF in november 2006, and Floyd didn't wanna fight Mosley in january or feb 2007

How was Mayweather going to fight Shane in Jan. or Feb. of 2007 when he signed to fight De La Hoya in Dec. 2006? Shane knew Mayweather and Hoya were probably going to fight in Spring of 2007. Merchant even pointed this out to him when he said he wanted to fight Floyd in early 2007 after the Vargas fight. The fact of the matter is, both of these guys have turned down opportunities to fight the other one when the fight wasn't convenient for them. It's happening now because it's the first time that both of their best options are eachother.

What I don't get is how many people place answering a question - WITHIN MINUTES OF ANOTHER FIGHT - is a legit place to claim or use as some kind of evidence of an offer, a serious sitdown or negotiation for a fight?

Was anyone on team Mosley or Mayweather during these periods of so called Shane "ducking"?

When in Mosleys career has he ever ducked ANY fighter? If anything, Shane COULD have ducked Forrest and Wright - Both fighters who were wallowing in relative obscurity before Shane gave them a shot at his titles when he could as easily have fought smaller guys.

They're fighting now, so any conversation about this is just plain ******ed.

It's an issue I think because when Floyd does it, it is wrong, when anyone else does it is excused.
