Did Shannon briggs really only get 50k for the Vitali Fight?

He was paid 750k by Klitschko but he got screwed by his own people apparently, so he's only received a fraction of his payment so far

 

I wouldnt believe a word that passes David Haye's lips.

 

I remember at the time there were threads about his shitty deal

 

he got paid 3 quarters of a million.but his own company made him pay his own hospital bills and screwed him from alot more of it..hes been locked in a legal case with them as far as i know..it has nothing to do with the deal vitali gave him it was his own promotional company..who needs enemys ey...

 

Yep, he got screwed... But not by K2 like some try to make it look.
His management team is even worse as Don King :-(

As some already posted here his purse was 750k, and it was confirmed his team made him pay his own medical bills which were pretty high.
They also are trying to screw him out of othe rest so its pretty sad.

Briggs has only been full of praise on how K2 has treated him so far.
Actually almost every fighter that has spend a camp with or against K2 have been full of praise on how they get treated.

Suppose they can be tough to negotiate with but they do treat fighters well.

 

When Mike Weaver pushed Larry Holmes to the limits and was stopped in the 12th, 50k was not a shitty payday... It's a hard living plus medical expenses.

 

Thats pretty terrible seeing that his hospital bill after the fight was probably around $150,000

 

Didn't he have medical insurance?

 

I remember hearing it was closer to $25'000.
