Did Shavers really hit harder than the likes of George Foreman?

I read that Stallone thought he could take Roberto Duran because he had a legit size advantage over him. Stallone later admitted that he thought wrong.

Moore said later, about 50 years after his fight with Sheppard was that they called him "Hatchetman" because when he hit you it felt like he was holding hatchets in his hands

For my money shavers is not top 5 hardest punchers ever.
I say that foreman, tua, lewis, wladimir klitschko and maybe even guys like tyson, tommy morrison or baer did hit at least as hard.

    What a garbage post.
    1. Foreman fought a 74 Ali and shavers fought a 77 zombie Ali, foreman would **** 77 Ali.
2.on a radio program norton said that foreman and shavers did hit around the same and lyle said shavers yes.it is all blahblah But curiously foreman stopped him and shavers did not...
    3. Tell me what fighters did shavers stop?

If you watch Shavers, he actually had good skills and some speed. In some ways more offensive skills than Foreman, and IMO more hand speed.

Shavers could set his offense up, and did much better vs Ali than Foreman did because he could also box.

Ron Lyle and Ken Norton fought both Shavers and Foreman. What did they say?

1 ) If you think Foreman had more speed than Shavers, the film would disagree with you.

2 ) Shavers did much better than Ali. Yes--Ali was older, but he used the same strategy, and IMO Shavers hurt Ali and might have edged it on points. Foreman was gassed rounds before the stoppage. It was a really bad performance by him. Okay, so Norton said they hit around the same, Lyle said Shavers hit harder. Larry Holmes said Shavers hit him the hardest too, correct?

3 Shavers stopped Jimmy Ellis, Joe Bugner, Roy Williams, and Ken Norton. Williams and Bugner were not easy to guys stop!

"Shavers. No question. At least with Foreman I was able to get up. When Shavers hit me I went down and stayed down." - Ken Norton when asked who hit harder

"Lyle hit about the same as Foreman. Shavers hit harder than Lyle and Foreman put together." - Leroy Caldwell

"Oooh man, that man is always with me. He hit so hard, the hardest. I still feel his punches today." - Jimmy Young on Shavers

"Shavers hit me so hard it felt like needles were jabbing the back of my head. Without hesitation, Shavers was the hardest puncher I met." - Ron Lyle on Shavers

It is funny because you use the part of the information in your convenience, you keep using the testimonies of boxers to support the power of shavers but then tou say that lyle is overrated as puncher, so caldwell wad right when he said that shavers was the fusion between lyle and foreman in power but he was not right when he said that lyle did hit as hard as foreman.right? Lol
Your source has great credibility lol

Well we have a 100% unified front of multiple opponents giving testimony to Shavers over Foreman and the rest. We have one guy that might be bracketing Foreman and Lyle.

Singular opinions are to be handled with caution, certainly a lot more caution that multiple unanimous testimonies. This goes without saying.

What are you talking about? What i posted was extremely easy to understand and irrefutable. All the common opponents unanimously name Shavers to be the harder hitter, some by quite a bit. If it was the other way around you'd be screaming it from the rooftops and claiming it as the be all and end all. We'd never hear the end of it.

John hes talking about the Leroy caldwell quote where he claims "lyle and foreman were even in power and shavers hit as hard as both of them combined".

Hes asking how can people use Leroy caldwells quote as evidence shavers hit harder than foreman and at the same time call Lyle an "overrated" puncher if Leroy Caldwell ALSO says Foreman and Lyle hit the same?

Also Cobb & "Quick" Tillis & i dunno offhand who else
The question really is: is it possible that Shavers hit as hard or harder than the hardest hitting SHWs?
There is a point of diminishing returns in size

But since there is no plausible reason why virtually everyone who fought him would have for lying in his favor>those who won or lost>& we know that how good one is does not show how hard one hits & power was Shavers one huge talent

We must conclude he hit harder than anyone we can find
At least anyone near his size
