This tournement had the potential to give boxing in Britain a massive boost. It also had the chance to make Froch a household name and deservedly so. His resume since Pascal is something that should recieve MASSIVE credit and respect even if like myself, you're not his biggest fan or supporter.

Instead, hardly any casual fans of the sport know about the tourney or Froch. Considering the magnitude of this tournement, its disgusting. Also consider after this tournement,Frochs career will be near over...too many wars in succession will shorten any mans career, let alone someone who takes plenty of punishment.

So did Sky show any interest in this?
If they did,did Hennessy actually knock back this interest due to pricing Froch out? If he did,not only has he fuc*ed up Frochs career,he's fuc*ed British boxing over at a time when something like this could have done a lot of good.

(If they showed no interest...then Mick im sorry,I still think you're a monumental boob tho.)

Sky met with Hennesey. They offered the same price they pay for World title fights on on Sky Sports 1. Hennesey wanted it on Sky Box Office. Sky said it wouldnt sell. Hennesey went to Primetime.

To do a ppv event mick would need to have 3 domestic title fights on frochs undercards. That would be is whole stable fighting twice a year

If I was Mick, and truley believed that Froch could shift enough ppvs, surely he should have had the Jermain Taylor fight on SS1, then the numbers would prove if hes PPV worthy???

Froch shouldve jumped ship ages ago. Mick doesnt have the clout with the networks.

Primetime is a budget operation. dont get me wrong im glad they show fights we wouldnt normally see but, the coverage and exposure it gives fighters i minimul.

Where did you get this from Rob, or did you make it up?

They definitely wanted it on Sky Box Office, but I'm not sure how you know Sky offered a SS1 slot.

If Mick had given Sky the taylor fight for free, he would have made more money off the back of it in the long run. Always stuck in the short term.

Also was at the daws fight last week and couldn't believe what the hell he was wearing.
Barry hearn put him to shame and he was only smart casual. There's a guy in town that sells the big issue and he looks more business like than mick. If I was one of his fighters I would tell him not to bothor turning up unless he was going to look smart.

In an interview with Froch he said they wouldnt put him on sky box office. You gotta take that as sky offer SS1 or nothing.
