I'm getting tired of this ****. It's not like Calzaghe beat Pavlik or Bute. Nor am I saying he wouldn't but Calzaghe fights nothing like Andrade or Hopkins. You are assuming Calzaghe could take the same hellacious beating that Andrade did and still have enough juice left to stop Bute in the 12th. Look at how much trouble Calzaghe had with Bika, a poor man's version of Andrade. Obviously, Calzaghe would be a huge favorite over Andrade, but he's also never fought a fighter like him either. Bute looked great and in the same class as Kessler and Calzaghe for 10 rounds. The other 2 not so much. That's not to say his style wouldn't be effective against Kessler or Calzaghe, though both would be favorites over him, and rightfully so. STOP giving Calzaghe credit for fights he had nothing to do with! Or ANY OTHER fighter for that matter. Styles make fights, always have and always will!
You didn't mean to write this post lol. Bute is not even close to the class of fighter Cal is. Why did you pick Bika anyway, to justify your weak argument? Cal take the helacious beating that Andrade did? What fight were you watching. I saw no beating. I saw a guy winning, and then get cheated aout of a win. It wasn't Bute's fault the ref acted as he did, but Cal wouldn't take the shots Andrade did because he doesn't get hit that much in fights anyway. Sowhatchutalkinabout......Mr???
Besides having more power, everything Bute does well, Calzaghe does better. Speed, footwork, stamina, work rate, punching angles, chin all favor Joe. Bute would wilt under Joe's pressure... he's not ready for Calzaghe yet...... don't think he'll ever be ready.
