Hopkins is a tactical genious and he has been using 'dirty' tactics for quite some time now. It's not necessarily one or the other.
That's my point. You call it ring smarts in one fight but call it dirty and disgraceful in another. You gotta decide if you think using illegal stuff is part of the tactical aspect of boxing (unofficialy).
I didn't call it ring smarts in one fight, I called it ring smarts in all of his fights. Except for last night, where we more or less witnessed a farse of a fight overall. Using illegal tactics is a part of some fighters' arsenal whether we like it or not, but not everyone can do it and get away with it most of the time like Hopkins has done time and time again. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it happens.
