did spadafora win?

unfortunately he's 37 and doesn't have time to be fighting those guys, he just needed to string some wins together to get his timing back and shake the ring rust, now its time to put up or shut up. he just wants one big name, if he loses then i'm sure he will retire.

Khan is a Glass Jawed 4 round fighter with no power. What is he going to do with Spadafora's awkward angles and movements?

I would love to see this fight just to laugh at Khan's robot style against a slickster.

You could ask why a coddled cry baby excuse maker like Khan has fans. The guy is a disgrace.

I haven't seen one person on here say Spadafora is anything great like the Khan fans do and we have all seen what Khan is made of. The guy simply isn't cut out to be a prizefighter. Period.

 

if u look past his personal life (which i honestly don't care about), he's a very gifted boxer who was mis-managed. he outboxes ninety percent of the guys out there right now between 140-147.

 

I don't like Khan at all. I'd love to see him lose to a nobody like Spadafora (just like he lost to shitty nobody Prescott), that would be hilarious. Especially by knockout, to a feather fist.

Still - I don't get it. From the little I've seen of Spadafora, he isn't terribly exciting to watch. He seems like not such a decent guy outside the ring. His resume is ****ing horrible, his zero one of the most padded I've ever seen. His career high mark is going life and death and drawing with Dorin. His notoriety stems mainly from doing well in sparring, years ago, with a guy who in reality is galaxies beyond him in talent.

So...what is with this persistently loyal outspoken fan base? :huh What's the appeal?

 

i can only speak for myself, but the appeal to me is how slick he is in the ring. yea his competition sucks. it's been well documented how his management did that to him. it was not his choice. hes come back with rjj to get those big fights at 37 that he wasn't given at 27. to some i guess his style may be boring, but he out thinks his opponents and shows off great angles and really nice defense. he's mastered the art of not getting hit much without running around the ring. i can't wait til he gets a bigger name and makes him look foolish. then he's really gonna gain some buzz.

 

I think the thing with Spaddy fans it is more "what could have been" as he was a wasted talent. He has/had skills. And yes his resume isn't great but since the Dorin fight he hasn't been able to get fights because of repeated jail sentences atsch and he isn't with a top promoter and networks look at him as a liability. I mean why risk putting the guy on TV if there is a chance he will do something stupid before hand and pull out. He was on the shortlist to fight Gatti when Gatti fought the kid from the contender can't think of his name :think

I agree with much of what you say but would like to see him get a chance against a top 10 guy and see what he could do.

Spadafora is a hardcore drug addict who has abused, coke, crack, and heroin. People can talk about his management all they want, but his own demons is what detailed his career. Spadafora thinks he's the best p4p fighter on the planet. He needs to forget about all that and concentrate on conquering his demons. I doubt he ever gets the big fight he desires, but I do hope he can stay clean and get his life together once and for all.

 

Put him in there against Zab honestly....i think you would find out what you got.

Judah has just as much talent as Spaddy.....and has faced WAYYYYYYYY Better competition...you praise Spaddy for facing what? But shyt on Judah?

 

he's a drug addict and an alcoholic. he shot his own g/f because he thought she was impregnated by another man and he was shot by the police during a high speed pursuit when he was he was young and in the amateurs. yes his personal life is an issue, but you can't deny he was also mis-managed and obviously nobody cared enough about him to try and pull him out of that life which is unfortunate. he needed a trainer that was going to take him in and pull him out of the world he was in. what's really heart-wrenching is the guy has great talent i just wanna see him in there with a top ten opponent even it is one time and even if he loses. just so he can say he at least got a shot.

 

Judah and spaddy are my favorite fighters so i'd love to see it!
