Nah, Spinks was a tough guy with a tough upbringing who wasn’t afraid of anyone. He just knew right from the beginning of the fight that he was outgunned in every dept He couldn’t keep Tyson off him, couldn’t evade him or strong enough to hold an wrestle him so had to just throw random right hands to catch Tyson coming in. Unfortunately Tyson also had faster hands an easily beat him to the punch
Even before the fight Spinx was intimidated by Tyson. I can't remember which match it was, but Spinx actually went to watch one of Tyson's matches and chose to sit all the way damn near the rafters for some reason and the commentators were joking about how that was as close as Spinx wanted to be to Tyson. I don't take anything away from Tyson if his opponent became intimidated and didn't fight as well as they could have. Pressuring your opponent with fear is a strategy and it isn't against the rules. I doubt it would make a difference anyways if Spinx was 100% focused and determined with nerves of steel he was getting run over either way.
