he got hurt, yes, but his corner admitted to have instructed luevano to stay down until it was called a dq. wise decision.

now why is it that i made a comment that bernabe concepcion tried to cheat and intentionally hit luevano after the bell and his fans got all butt hurt and all? now his fans are trying to insinuate that luevano was "faking" the knockout after the very illegal blow? seems to me that there's a double standard around here for concepcion. but it doesn't matter because luevano is the winner and concepcion is the loser. i hope they do rematch because luevano is going to school concepcion once more and prove to everyone that concepcion is just a media hype job.

The rematch will show that Concepcion is a one-dimensional fighter with no jab and no idea of how to execute a proper gameplan. Luevano isn't that good either, but he's a step up from Bernabe.

    watsinango,

luevano a fluke? funny but i don't recall anybody super hyping him before the fight. you mean, concepcion is the fluke. wasn't he supposed to be the next manny pacquiao? that's the problem with handlers of concepcion is that they were trying to make him out to be the next pacquiao. there is only one pacquiao. let the kid (concepcion) mature and grow as a fighter before carelessly rushing him into a title fight. but sadly the rematch between luevano and concepcion will be the same result. smart fighters like luevano know how to adapt better than fighters like concepcion who only know how to brawl.

yea since pacquiao came around there's all these hype about who's the next pacman. Lately nobody has come close to becoming even half as good as him. Aside from donaire.. boomboom bautista has faded--banal loss to the guy donaire dominated--and now concepcion got exposed by luevano.

I think they are rushing these fighters to a title fight too quickly. boom2x-banal and concepcion are young. Let them mature and get more experience before putting them against a world champ.

The way he went down does seem suspect. It almost looked as if Luevano braced himself for the fall with his left glove in order to keep his head from slamming against the canvas.

I wish we could have seen the rest of the fight. It was an unfortunate end, but I don't believe it was intentional. Conception had enough power to KO Luevano most likely (legally I mean) but he didn't have a clue how to get inside against him. Still, it was just starting to heat up.

The KD seemed totally legit, but the fact that he was on the ground for three minutes seemed a little suspect. If he had taken the punch a second before the bell rang instead of a second after, I think he would have been up by the count of 8.

BTW, what's with everyone saying it was a good fight now? That was probably the worst fight I've seen in 5 years. Worse than Taylor-Spinks, worse than Klitschko-Ibragimov, worse than Thompson-Foreman, worse than Dirrell-Stevens. Luevano just kept jabbing air and Concepcion's gloves all night. Neither fighter was landing more than 10 punches a round, and Concepcion was barely throwing 10 punches a round. Other than a couple of decent moments in the first round and the last 15 seconds of the fight, it completely sucked balls.
