i did not see this fight, but did he even attempt a ko on Holy? Or was he just too respectful for the old man?

Only one time that I could see, it was about the ninth round. He rocked Holyfield with a left hand and threw about five punches in what looked like an attempt to halt Holyfield. He quickly went back to boxing though.

Once, and he gave up after like 3 seconds and 5 haymakers that missed.

I don't know if it was respect though, it was just boring.

Unlike Mayweather, maybe Sultan has a lot of respect for a HW legend. EH should have retired long ago and will get hurt if he carries on with this crazy mission.

Mayweather seems to have made Sultan into a cautious boxer type instead of the aggressive buzzsaw he used to be or maybe fighting higher caliber opponents he is smart enough to realize he can't get away with all out blitz attacks for sustained periods.

I did not see the fight but I don't buy the "not going for the ko out of respect." he is there to win first, and even though holyfield is way passed it, anything can happen...if he thought he could have without much risk, Ibragimov would have gone for the ko. Instead, he figured "i am much faster, so why not go with the safe route." makes for a boring fight.

    Ps..love the avatar.

Both fighter's were very tedious and not willing to engage in a battle. Like the other fellas have said, it was pretty boring and even though it was the middle of the day i damn near fell asleep.

I have'nt seen the fight either, but how different could it have been fromt the Byrd and Donald fights.......
.....Sultan darting in and out as has been mentioned.....Holyfield does'nt have the manuevablility and reflexes to pull the trigger on a moving target.

    Its as simple as that.....

For God's sake Evander, its time to give it up!:?

Btw, fighters just done go in and take stop a Warrior like Evander Holyfield, to do that is to give him a bonafide chance of winning.
Holyfield can still fight against a target that wants to take his head off.

If Sultan did'nt go for the KO, its because he knew this!

i think iggy took it easy on him to be honest.i donk think he wanted to hurt him, but if holy did go all the way then he did good.only cause i thought he was going to be out by 7 and he was not even close.
