Did that fight prove Ruslan was the harder hitter?

Herrera already said it but to the general fan

Lucas had to resort to boxing to win he was also out on his feet in round 11

As Lennox Lewis fans say... "look at the state of his face!"

DeMarcus Corley: Yes, I moved down to 135. I fought Javier Garcia at lightweight last year (a fight that Corley won via seventh round TKO). I’ve been fighting at 140 for seventeen years. I never had a problem making weight. Over the years of me fighting these bigger guys, I realized I’m a lot stronger at 135. I could have made 135 when I first turned pro. I weighed 139 when I won the national Golden Gloves. No one really told me that I could fight at lightweight – that I didn’t have to weigh 135 unless it’s for a title. I fought at 139 in the amateurs and the next weight class was 140. I was beating guys and knocking guys out, but as I got older, the guys got bigger. They were sucking down to make weight. Miguel Cotto, Lucas Matthysse… These are big 140-pounders. The biggest I get is 143, 144 pounds when I’m not training.

DL: That is amazing that you have been fighting above your weight class and you have faced every monster puncher at 140 – Miguel Cotto, Zab Judah, Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Ruslan Provodnikov… Who is the hardest puncher of that bunch?

DeMarcus Corley: I would say Matthysse. But I would be remiss if I left out Freddy Hernandez who knocked me out at welterweight. He can punch. I was winning the fight, I just got caught in the fifth round.

and this fight proves it ruslan was never wobbled in this fight but lucas was hurt many times more so in round 11 he was ready to go

Herrera sparred Matthysse with big gloves and head gear on for four rounds, whereas he actually fought Ruslan with 8oz ones on over 12 rounds.

Bradley also sparred Matthysse with big gloves and head gear on and went 12 torid rounds with Ruslan with small ones on and no head gear. He said Matthysse still hit harder than him despite that.

why we talking about sparring both lucas and ruslan fought each other

and the guy who displayed more punching power was ruslan he had lucas hurt many times and at one point round 11 had him out on his feet FACT

ruslan never got wobbled by any of luca's punchers

Why are you dismissing the opinions of actual fighters who've shared a ring with both of them? :rofl

Ruslan has an amazing chin, that's why. lol

I don't even care who hits harder or who has the better chin of them. Both of them thunderous punching stout whiskered warriors.

It's just funny watching you desperately trying to save face after getting your pick wrong. lol

Do you have the Herrera quote?

Otherwise I got this by a clean 3-0 sweep. :rofl

Not necessarily. Provodnikov simply has an alien chin, not even Matthysse's power can crack it.

part of which was a clash of heads. i think matthyse is clearly the harder puncher. provodnikovs chin is obviously second to none.

Well that must mean Molina is the GOAT hard hitter since he dropped Matty twice.

Don't think this fight proves who hit harder but rather who has the better chin.
