Did that fight prove Ruslan was the harder hitter?

The fight proves Pac Nation has been over-rating both Provo and Bradley (to elevate Pacquiao as a motive) like many reasonable fans have been saying for some time.

 

Why are ppl saying Ruslan almost KO'd Matthysse in the 11th? He didn't go down and was only stunned for a few seconds.

Was only posting to see how much VCash I have after putting 1200 on Matthysse to win.

 

We all know Ruslan never been down while Lucas has tasted canvas before. Lucas hit harder, but Prov has the better punch resistance.

 

I think there's no doubt who hits harder...I just wish RP would move his head just a little bit more to at least he doesn't hit flush as many times....

And 1 of em is, Mathysee is the obviously HARDER puncher.

BUT....the state of his face, don't apply with Ruslan.

The stork who flew baby Ruslan to momma was drunk, and flew threw the ugly forest on his way to deliver baby Ruslan. He banged baby Ruslan off every branch in the ugly forerst en route to his delivery.

Ruslans cheek boned are gargantuan. Theyre swolt before he takes a single shot, and he's red as soon as he has to hold his breathe for a second to brace for one b/c he has milky white skin.

He took a hellacious butt early on and Lucas put on a masterclass two handed assault in all 8 rds he won. 116-112.

Ruslan's diamond chin wasnt so much as scratched vs the hardest p4p puncher in the game, but those shots would stop a freight train on it's tracks.

That said, Lucas' chin is above average at best. And every time Ruslan found his head, chin, high guard, Lucas was moved back or buckled.

Still, Lucas kept his composure, boxed PERFECTLY, which he could only do vs a plodder like Ruslan, and he executed his gameplan to the letter. thumbsup:thumbsup

 

Who knows.

What it did prove is that provodnikov has a granite chin, but that's about all he has going for him, he looked lost for 90 % of the fight, coming forward with completely ineffective aggression, swinging wildly, missing, landing with a few big shots and then getting his head snapped back with jabs, right hands and uppercuts. Matthysse out landed him by over 120 punches and busted him up really bad.

I mean it may just be a case that Provo takes a better shot

Ruslan appears to be the more concussive puncher

 

Lots of sore Prov fans looking for excuse's.

At NO point last night did Lucas sit on his punches, and he still had Prov shelled up after the first 2 rounds.

I said before the fight that Lucas would win and win easy, i said it would be boxer/puncher beating brawler/puncher, and thats exactly what i saw last night.

Lucas stung Prov several times in the first couple of rounds, then simply outboxed Prov, there was no need for heroics.

Scorecards were embarrassing, i gave Prov 4 rounds, and one of them was close enough to go either way.

Hit and not be hit is the name of the game, just as Peterson showed last week.
