I could not believe that the doctor gave Abraham a full minute and a half to recover while he was treating his cut! The doctor is suppose to look at it and then decide whether or not the fight should go on, not treat the fighter and give the him a massive breather. I believe that this was a major turning point in the fight as Direll was really starting to come on when this event happened. What do you guys think?

the ref is a ****ing idiot because it was obvious as hell to anyone with a pair of eyes that Abraham could continue.

The Abraham knockdown was the turning point (idotic ref, I know), but how stupid it was from Arthur to pull that **** a few minutes later, when Dirrell started to run out of stamina... those were dangerous moments for Andre but it ended in a shocking way moments later. Wow.

The referee shouldn't have broken the action up, as Abraham looking good at that point. There was far too much time given to clean up the cut which is not allowed, so there's not much else you can say about it. I don't know whether the referee and two doctors were just incompetent or they were buying Dirrell some time, but it affected Abraham's strong period, anyway.

I was puzzled by that as well. The doctor isn't supposed to work on the cut only look at it and see if the fighter is fit enough to continue.

The referee was trying to get the fight stopped. That was his intention when calling for the doctor. He was trying to help Dirrell all along.

Whatever you think of this fight and the end result, one thing that is clear is that ref sucked. I hope to never see him refereeing again.

You do realise that the poster had different intentions with the post?

I agree with you, breaking it in the middle of AA's rush when he's connecting and coming on, was an odd time point to choose.

But those people think he helped AA by giving him time to recover!

If I was mean and into conspiracy theories, I'd think that the ref wanted AA disqualified and/or to give Dirrell a break.

I do think, however, that the ref was just bad, as simple as it is. He's done with the big fights if everything goes normal ways.

the doctor did save abraham. everyone who argues for abraham has to realize there are more arguments going for dirrel.
