For me it did. Not only was the fight itself good but right after the fight Cotto just stared at Margarito's corner (Ive never seen that before) just because "he wanted to taste his victory". When Kellerman told him that he was known to be a good sportsman and asked him what he thought of Margarito, Cotto said : " he means nothing to me, he really means nothing to me" that right there was the icing in the cake of a great night.

Cotto has every right to feel that way. Marg is lucky he still has a career let alone Cotto accepting the fight. Still great night of boxing. :thumbsup

It wasn't the war that I was expecting, but that was mainly due to Cotto's revised and sensible approach. Still had quite a bit of action; like in the early rounds where Cotto was trading. So yeah, good fight. Enjoyed every moment of it. Margarito is one tough *******.

Did anybody else also notice when Max was askin' him "didn't you go over to his corner?" Cotto said "that was just to get my people away from him".

I'm a Cotto fan and I wanted him to win without getting hurt too much. He put a masterful performance but Margo was active enough to keep the fight competitive. Cottos right hand was better than before, and he was pushing Margo around. I wish he could punch him to the body more often to make the night even easier. For all the people that think that Margo was coming late they now **** about boxing. His body language was very bad he was getting KOed himself for sure. Even during the post fight interview when he spoke his voice was shaking like if he was still buzzed by the punches

Wasnt a war but it was never going to be. Still a great fight.
Loved the punch by Cotto after the bell at the end of round 7.
Also Cottos shorts were cooler than Margs.

There was no way Margarito was coming back. From where I was sitting it seemed like he was just hitting air and the few punches that did land on Cotto had no real effect on him. Cotto parried pretty good. His footwork was pretty good...from my seat at the fight it seemed like he was floating lol, and he was still throwing with authority by the end of the fight.

Cotto/Margarito has one of most dramatic storylines in boxing, just right below Pac/Mayweather.

The fight easily lived up to my expectations. The fight was exciting. It was intense. And Cotto getting his redemption is what good stories are made of. It played out better than a movie.
