Did the greatness of the 70s last only a year?

    I think Ruiz would give fits to a shot Ali and would beat Leon Spinks, so he’d have a chance at bring lineal in the 70s.

    Yeah, the 70s was special due to matchmaking more than talent pool imo. The problem with 99 is that so many possible fights never happened. It’s still an issue today but seems to be improving somewhat.

    He beat Ali who went on to beat 2 top 10 ATGs. More than a few people believe he beat top 5 ATG Larry Holmes in his prime. That's a resume more impressive than a at least 20 recognized ATGs I can think of. Interesting how you're now banned.
