did the Klitschko brothers 'eradicated' the american HWs ?!

Should be "eradicate", not "eradicated".

 

Weren't the Klits stopped a combined 3 times against black HWs? There is a shortage of good HWs period, regarless of skin color. It has nothing to do with the Klits. They've certainly been a benefactor of it though.

4 times. Purity, Brewster, Byrd and Lewis. Skin color had nothing to do with it though, it was just who the better fighters were on those nights.

 

No the American HW's are still going strong in the NBA, NHL, NFL, etc.

 

I believe that as King Lewis! He actually beat the last to Great American HWs, and got the third to dump his belt in the trash rather than face him. An out of shape and pondering retirement Lennox also ripped the face off of the better brother.

To bad Vittles lost to the last second tier HW that the Yanks produced. While Wlad has been busy beating the no-hopers from around the world the last few years.

BTW, when was the last time that the USA has produced a half decent HW since Byrd . . . and even Byrd was nothing special.

there are several u.s. heavyweights coming up. give it time. these things happen in waves or cycles. the klitschkos did nothing but hold the titles hostage in germany. kudos to them for getting paid and dominating in the weakest era of heavyweight boxing history.

I really don't count Byrd as Vitali wasn't stopped as much as he retired on his stool due to injury.

 

everyones says all the guys big enough do other sports but if the highest paid sportsmen is a welter imagine what a really good american heavy would earn, 100mil a fight, why is there no one on the horizon

 

i dont get this argument at all, did the NFL and NBA only start up a about ten years ago?
