New scoring system and no more headgear is what was said for the past 2 years...any truth?

edit: For some reason this site thinks skrap (with a c) is a swear.....why?

If they get rid of headgear and the point scoring system then america will dominate the olympics

They've done it at the elite level for the past few years.

They also refer to it as "Olympic style boxing" now and not "amateur"

The second part hasnt really caught on yet

If they did, would that mean we'll have less Cuban medalists?

Yes they have. No definitive proof that headguards actually protect your noggin from concussion. I hate headguards anyway, only thing they really stop is cuts.
