    Thanks.

If true, they sure misjudged that one !

Wrecked Marvin's marriage, and his mental health has never been the same.

That was definitely a missed opportunity for a "You're blowin' it son! You're blowin' it!" moment.

Hugh McILlvanney had it 7-5 to Hagler.

imo they didn't lose marvin's title he lost it(or more accuratly the whole team worked together to lose it), although i'd agree with most of the comments about their limitations.

You cant just lay the blame at them though.Hagler's ring-generalship has to be questioned as well in various fights. It was an inconsistent and not always top-notch facet of his game.

It's an issue that could cost him-or make harder- fights against other great or excellent fighters, though 90% of the time his other strengths can make up for it.

I do not know where Hagler learned his boxing skills but, if he learned them from his trainers they are indeed great trainers. Not only that but Marvin is one of the toughest guys in boxing history. Did not they have anything to do with him getting through the Hearns bout with a 3rd round KO?

They were about at the level of Robinson's trainer Gainsford. They were good, maybe even great. The Futches, Arcels, and Dundees of the world are on Training Mt. Rushmore.
