i gave you the figure in a thread like last week http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=9662407&postcount=25
thanks Pretty impressive how UK outsold the US considering how the US is a greater nation. They must really study their boxing out there. Floyd a G.
why is the version that Floyd beat better than the version that Pac will (probably) beat? First of all Pac is fighting him at 144 not the full WW limit and he doesn't have as big a size advantage on JMM that Floyd does and secondly JMM has said he is gonna train 5 months for this fight. He is 2 years older, true. But not facing as much disadvantages and better prepared. I'd say it's a wash
In the uk Sky (which is like HBO) said the fight did 1.2 Million. In a newspaper telegraph they said the figure was more like 1.4 Million. Either way Floyd has the record in the USA and the record in the UK. Seems like he IS popular after all huh?
Floyd a G. What were Hatton's UK PPV numbers looking like before he fought $? I take it emmanuel-Hatton did fairly well in the UK too?
you sir are a troll. My 17 year old daughter could've come up in weight and beaten a shot dlh at 147 and she has never been to a boxing gym before.
From your own link How big was Pacquiao-Hatton? If you take away heavyweight pay-per-views involving Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield as well as the Oscar De La Hoya fights, it's the second-best ever. Only Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s victory against Hatton in December 2007 did more business, generating 915,000 domestic buys. from fighthype it says 950K We all know even if the figure is slightly off that Mayweather did MORE in the USA and thats without taking into consideration that Arum didnt release official figures and stopped GBP from doing so also. May also did WAY more in the UK.
you're the one who sounds like a troll. As drained as Oscar was, there isn't another super featherweight in the world who could have laid a beating like that on him. Don't forget that 6 months later Pac beat Hatton even worse than he beat Oscar. You think your 17 year old daughter could have done that too I guess right?
True cash cows. Dempsey, Robinson, Leonard, Ali, Tyson, and Dlh just to name a few. Floyd nor pac are cash cows in that sense. They are just the two most paid boxers today.
His figures have always been solid- good he has never had any figures like he did when fought Floyd or Manny. I would go as far as saying Hatton probably THE most popular fighter the UK has produced in terms of following. Pac vs Hatton approached 1 Million.....so its the second biggest fight in UK history but quite a bit off what Floyd and Hatton did!
