Did the Thomas v Tyson bout in `87 proved Holyfield could have taken prime Tyson`s best shots?

Not brawling exploiting reach. Foreman used both arms to block Frazier`s entry, again using his reach at long range
1:56 Foreman using movement to stay at long range
    2:09 Smoothly parrying a punch

Tyson was more skilled than Foreman and was never beat by a slugger and took Ruddock`s power very well.

Tyson barely ever fought a slugger and certainly none near George's class. He also never beat a prime ATG. Foreman took Frazier "slugger" very well. Tyson's great trainer who you hold in incredibly high regard told Tyson swarmers were suicide vs George.

Well his punches seemed to have a pretty
Devastating effect on Thomas at the end Mark.

    No

Thomas was faded but still had a very strong chin.

Prime Holyfield was badly hurt by Bert Cooper and Bowe. Tyson hit harder than Cooper and at least as hard as Bowe

Thomas at his peak could take a good punch, both Witherspoon and Coetzee failed to hurt him. He also took Weaver's bests hooks and came out on top. And unlike Bonecrusher and some other opponents, Thomas actually came to fight against Tyson.
