Did the trilogy with Deontay Wilder take something out of Tyson Fury?

Aside from getting dropped twice in the 1st fight nothing really landed on him, the 2nd fight was a beatdown and the 3rd fight aside from some body jabs and 2 more knockdowns Fury didn't get hit with too many punches. Did Wilder leave a lasting effect on Fury? Wilder's chin is most likely erased after the 3rd fight

Take a look towards the end of the tenth, at that stage of a fight it takes something, and can catch up with you anytime after.

We will all find out when he and other active fighters hit the 40 year old mark.

Fury got caught at the end of this round then dropped his hands in the corner and started hitting himself in the head whilst walking towards Wilder goading him to keep hitting him

Fury has an unbreakable spirit and a dome made of steel.

Every time you enter a boxing ring you leave a piece of yourself behind. This is well known.

Fury will be fine though. He can rely on his toughness, mentality and size to win any fight against any man born from his mother.

He could beat Whyte rolling out of bed after a 6 month bender. He is gifted. He is special.

I believe that, for the most part, all fights slowly chip away at a boxer's physical abilities, mental acuity and mental fortitude. I don't believe the Wilder fights did major noticeable damage to Fury but he is definitely lesser because of the trilogy.

Fact is getting punched in the head does nothing positive for your little grey cells.

Furys booze and drug episode will not have done his brain cells much good either.

I don't think the trilogy will have taken anything more out of Fury, than if Fury had fought any other fighter x3 or fought 3 other fighters, in that time frame

I think that Fury not getting the one big last fight for all the belts as he wishes, might be/has taken something out of him.

In his quiet moments despite all the braggadocio he exhibits, i wonder whether he reflects on the wasted years after he beat Wlad, both personally and professionally, think of all that purse money he lost, such is life i guess.

However i am sure AJ was grateful for Furys abscence, as he won a title that he very very likely would not have done if Fury had been champ, and AJ made millions upon millions from it.

The human body can only take so much stress whether during a fight or even training camps - everybody has a tipping point and there are no exceptions.

Those shots from Wilder are certainly reducing the length of his career.

Hopefully he flattens Pudding Whyte then retires if the Usyk fight cannot be made this year.

Performing an exorcism is incredibly draining and exhausting

''From the Christian Theology perspective- exorcism is the act of delivering a possessed person from the grip of unclean spirits. The whole process is exhausting because (1) Unclean spirits are spirits- meaning they have no body and that’s why they enter the body of the living. They do not get tired and experience exhaustion like human beings do (2) The exorcist depends only on the power of the Most High God through Jesus Christ meaning every action is taken by faith. As humans are fallible beings, doing such a task by faith alone is like fighting a raging fire with buckets of water (3) Humans are beings of the flesh which means they do not have infinite stores of energy unlike spirits (4) Unclean spirits don’t stay still. They are annoying and harass relentlessly similar to never-ending rounds of boxing matches.''

Yes, of course. But so did time, obesity, drug use, Otto Wallin, and every other fight, even if just a small piece.

Fury doesn't have much longer left. I believe retirement is an option after Whyte.

    I would say yes,
2 out of 3 fights he tasted some serious leather.
That & he is getting older … it happens to us all.

The world's heavyweight champion is fine, pearl-clutchers/hand-wringers/doom forecasters.
