Any particular reason Floyd requested 8's? The ring has to be huge then. No way Floyd gives somebody this dangerous all these advantages. War Cotto!

Yeah because Cotto is actually a dangerour puncher and is actually going to hit Mayweather :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl. Mayweather says he wants 8 oz gloves because Cotto has hit the canvas before and he wants to KO him.:deal

Cotto's more dangerous than you think. Especially now that his right shoulder is back to 100%. If Hatton can hit Mayweather, so can Miguel F'n Cotto.

Well I'm definitely paying for it so let's see what happens. Hopefully Shane won't go into a shell and ruin the card but I'm pumped in any case.

I think as well as wanting more power, he wants his handspeed to be as good as possible.

    Floyd + 154lbs + 10oz Gloves = Slightly Slower handseep than usual.

    But Floyd + 154 + 8oz Gloves, Might = Floyd at 147lbs Handspeed.

8 ounce gloves actually favor Floyd in this fight. Speed kills, we all know this. With Floyd's hand speed, accuracy and perfect counterpunching, Cotto's face will end up looking a mess. I doubt his face holds up. One would have to fear for Cotto's health with a small ring and 8 ounce gloves. Especially with Floyd's new "toe to toe" attitude and Cotto's lack defense. Floyd already showed he means business and is serious about standing in front of his opponent, he did it against the much bigger and slightly taller Mosley and Ortiz. Cotto is not that big, his reach is short, his height is short. And the thing is Floyd can go toe to toe and still be elusive at the same time. So it's not like he's gonna be on some Ward-Gatti or Vazquez-Marquez type of toe to toe, you're the only one that is going to take punishment, not him. That's Floyd's version of toe to toe.
