The light hitting Floyd looking every bit his age did not box like he usually does, put in very little if any body work and simply walked forward on Conor, wore him down and beat him by stoppage. This was a young "elite" mma champion and he posed no real threat to even a 50% FlIVd whos not much of an offensive fighter.
If Conor were in against a Thurman, Spence, Porter or heck even a Garcia he`d get starched inside of 3 rounds. Im sure mma fans will put a positive spin but Conor Mcgregor got worked. He did well early because FlIVd allowed him too. Once FlIVd started to open up in the 5th or so you could see it was going to be over soon. Let hope this is the last of the boxing/mma crossovers as neither side has any business stepping into the other sides turf. Now lets all look forward to Sept 16TH!

Probably not, no. Conor was like three weight classes bigger and has stamina problems.

I will say i was impressed with his movement early on and his awkwardness he brought to the game. Unfortunately he has no experience in boxing and he should stay in his lane.

Maybe have one more boxing match vs Paulie and call it a day in the boxing game.

Time to give mcgreger his dues. Guy won 4 rounds legit. Gassed because of his lack of boxing experience. Took minimal punishment and was never hurt.

if mcgregor started a career like a normal boxer worked his way from 4 to 6 to 8 to 10 to 12......had 20 fights....guy would easily be a champ.

The fact a novice boxer went 10 rounds with an ATG will give plenty of fuel.

In this day and age he could easily be manufactured a belt. They did for this.

He won about 3 rds early but Floyd was doing NOTHING.

One thing I did notice is that Conor had ZERO power on his punchers the whole fight whereas in mma he is seen at a huge hitter. Floyd was by far the bigger puncher in there.

It just goes to show how if a great boxer with mma gloves could really do serious damage in an mma fight if they could develop/learn a good sprawl such as Chuck Liddell/Robbie Lawler.

I love both sports and have ZERO interest in watching any further cross sports fights. Conor needs to defend his title against Ferguson/Lee winner and Floyd needs to stay retired now and the top boxers at 140-147 will give him all he can handle.

Pira kid don't put too much stock in Conor going 10 rds. He was fighting Floyd remember not prime Tommy Hearns at 154. Floyd let Baldomir go 12 remember and he was pathetic. To be honest I wasn't impressed with either fighter. Floyd looked the worst he has ever looked and Conor did well few couple of rds as Floyd did NOTHING.

It's really not that hard to win paper belts in boxing these days. Sam Solibums was a world champ.

Hope not. Ferguson is the CLEAR no.1 contender and Diaz was offered a fight with him for an interim title while Conor was out. Ferguson is just a better version of Diaz. I will be pi$$ed off if the ufc does another Diaz fight rather than Conor defend against legit challenges. Pi$$e$ me off when guys get title shots they have not earned.
