I looked back at this fight and I feel Tubbs was quicker than Ali was in the first fight with Frazier, was Tubbs quicker compared to Ali in that condition?

    No.

Tubbs had good handspeed but not as fast as Ali in '71.

He had good hand speed against Tyson, true, but it made no difference in the long run. Probably would've made no difference if Tubbs had been in excellent shape, Tyson would still have got him, maybe a couple of rounds later tho.
And Tubbs against Frazier with faster hands?.
Tony still would've been destroyed by Joe and he would nt make it to 15 either!

I feel Tubbs was quicker, Ali looked sluggish compared to how he loked in the rematch with Joe.

Yes Joe would have destroyed Tubbs but I feel Ali from the FOTC century would have been outsped by Tyson`s handspeed judging by how Mike dealt with Tubbs hand speed.

Tubbs handspeed only seemed faster cause he was so fat. I’m not even joking around here. Seeing speed where your mind doesn’t expect too (huge fat guys are usually slow) messes with you.

Tubbs had the fastest hands I've ever seen for a heavyweight, or so it appeared. There's no real way of measuring, is there..

All subjective, just like these 'ATG' and 'P4P' terms. But then I guess that's what discussion boards are for.

You are wrong, he was faster at falling apart, and better at losing than Ali!

He was nowhere near Ali`s level I just felt Ali`s hand speed looked a little sluggish in his first bout wit Frazier.

That`s because Ali had faster reflexes, I was talking specifically about hand speed.
