I read that their fight was pretty close, Tunney knocked him down in the 1st, but he came back strong. I read that he wanted no part of him later, true or false?
Loughran was still pretty immature ,and developing when they met ,I think a return would have been closer,but I dont know that Tunney ducked him ,concrete info on this would be interesting.
I've read he didn't want the rematch I also wondered why he never fought Jack Delaney was it his fault or jack or was it jus bad timing.
He certainly thought that discretion was the better part of valour, but I don't think that the issue was ever forced by them both being key players in division N at the same time.
yes, he did...the philadelphia inquirer had Loughran winning the fight, while the other obscure paper that favored Tunney is no longer in existance...Loughran owns Tunney!
