Did Tyson And Holyfield Fight During The Amateurs?

    Thanks, ive always wondered about Bowe and Tyson considering they both fought in the same era, at the same weight and lived in the same hood but never fought each other.

    Would you say Riddick was maybe....afraid of Tyson? If they were to fight would Riddick be intimidated?
    Would love to have watched these 2 fight, it was the missing piece of the jigsaw of Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis and Bowe


    Btw i respect the links u gave me, but that book seems like it was made by Holyfield himself so i took it with a pinch of salt. Tysons biography admits he was an *******, but that book seems to be a little biased to me.....

    Now that I think about it, they did spar. I think they made it through half a round or something and it was stopped. Both went at each other hard. Not sure if it described that on those pages you posted.

    As far as Bowe, I dont think he was afraid of anyone. I thought Gonzalez had him a little shook before their fight, but Bowe really took it to him and whipped his ass.

    Bowe vs Tyson around 1992-3 for the title would have been epic.

    Tyson really badly ****ed up history by going to prison. Whether he was guilty or not is another story.

    They sparred, but I don't think they were ever in the same weight class in the amateurs.

    What infuriates me to this day is that Tyson was probably innocent.

    A slutty teenage model, Desiree Washington had falsely accused 4 other men of raping her in the 2 years prior. She claims that she accepted the invite* to meet Tyson at 3am in the hotel, becuase she "wanted to get an autograph for her father". In Tyson's suite, she enticed Mike upstairs, went into the on-suite bathroom & removed her pantyhose, before preceding to make-out with Tyson on the bed. I think she just wanted to remain "daddy's little innocent girl" & accuse every man she seduced & shagged of being a ******. There are several books which explain how the trial was a shambles, but non which defend it. Why did the slimy snake Don King provide Tyson with a corporate tax lawyer who had prepared a self-defeating defense for Tyson? Perhaps becuase Tyson had wanted to leave King since from before the first Ruddock bout & had offers to manage him from other individuals including Steve Wynn. To this day Tyson swears he didn't **** her* & says he wishes he had raped that *****, becuase he did the prison time for it.

    *The invite at 3am was to see him in his room in the hotel he was staying at & possibly go out partying if they both felt like it.

    *When acting like a total jerkoff during his abysmal post-prison career, he did joke about being guilty once, but on the subject since retirement you can see the anger & injustice in his eyes at his wrongful imprisonment as he honestly states his innocence, for instance in the recent movie "Tyson".

    I totally agree, also interesting that you think King may have set Tyson up, i have recently began to feel like this that maybe King had a hand in it. The way i see it is, Mike wanted his titles and King wasnt getting him a title shot, Mike probably threatened to leave and King didnt want to lose his meal ticket. So he had Tyson set up to keep him in his pocket, he also made deals with Showtime way before Tyson was released something like $100million for 6 fights or something. King owned Tyson.

    This was Similiar to 2pac saying he was going to leave Death Row after his 3 album deal was done, only to be killed afterwards and all his stuff was then owned by Suge and they still continue to profit from that today.

    Its funny how King dumped Tyson straight after the bite fight (because he knew Tyson was no longer the star attraction).

    It is suspicious as to why King used the tax attorney instead of a proper lawyer, and also the fact that DW had accused a previous boyfriend of **** after having sex, this was never mentioned at the trial. And wtf was she doing in a guys bedroom at 2:00am, also removing her tampon and underwear. Apparently i read somewhere Tyson gave her 20 mins of oral.

    The reason he acted like a jerk off was (as Steve Farhood once said) when he was convicted of **** he felt nobody loved him, everybody was out to get him and hes never looked back since. He basically had a **** the world kind of attitude.

    He admitted himself he never raped her, but now he wishes he did, he wants to **** her and her frigging mama!

    He was probably innocent, but its also true he was a sex maniac, but its also true, women loved Mike Tyson.

    im desperately looking for a documentary on tyson. It was called Baddest Man On The Planet, it had Public Enemy on the soundtrack and it was ****ing awesome!! by far the best doc on Tyson ever., it came on UK tv on the night he fought lennox, its SO hard to get hold of now. Would give my leg for a copy of it.
