Did Tyson come back markedly a different fighter after prison - or did he still have it, or had the rot set in considerably years earlier; in your opinion?

Yeah, no one was around anymore to handle and keep the psycho he was from coming out into the open. That's the difference. He was always just "a kid from the hood who don't know no better" as he put it. So, as he later put it, "can't he get a blow job for that"?

When Cus D'Amato died and Don King took over operations that was the beginning of the end. When he went to jail that was the nail in the coffin. He was finished.

He was done. He would never again be the machine that captured everyone's attention in the late 80s.

Tyson was slightly past his best, but not "markedly". His performances against Bruno and Seldon were on par with quick blowouts he had against similarly mediocre titlists back in the '80s. The real truth is that he was just vastly overrated, even on his best day.

I think he was "markedly" different when he got that face tattoo.

His body appeared to change a lot physically, imo. He seemed a lot more bulked, and lost something in his speed, mobility, and perhaps power. A lot of that may have to do with age - he lost a over 4 years of fighting time while in Prison.
