In other words, about the same amount of time as the Spinks fight.

Yep, just like you can tell Tyson was still at the top of his form against Spinks.

Now your talking about the Spinks fight?

    I thought you said.

    No I said this:
Which clearly states my point that he looked pretty consistently good up until the Spinks fight.

it was evident in bruno 1 that he wasnt doing the things he was doing under rooney he stopped using his jab threw single shots instead of combinations and most importantly he stopped moving his head .

Actually it doesn't. Using the very same logic, you could make an equal argument that he looked "consistently good" up until the Douglas fight, OR that his decline began even before the Spinks fight. You're just picking and choosing what you want to consider and what you emphasize.

No you are with your usual BS agenda. Tyson looked sloppy against Bruno going 5 rounds. That continued two fights later in the Douglas fight.

One highly regarded boxing scribe wrote an article right after the Bruno fight predicting the potential doom and gloom ahead for Tyson if he didn't mend his ways outside the ring. He pinpointed various sudden differences in the Bruno fight and also reported at length on a couple of happenings outside the ring and a couple of inside rumours. He may as well have had a crystal ball the way things turned out.

The way Halpin extended him so long, so unexpectedly, would make me think even earlier than that.

 As opposed to your agenda, which is completely free of bias and hypocrisy.

Much like he had looked sloppy against Berbick going 2, Thomas going 6, and Tucker going 12.

You JUST got done arguing that a single fight can't be used to illustrate an overall picture, yet here you are singling out the Bruno fight and using that to illustrate your overall picture. If you so chose, you could just as well use your own logic to argue that the Bruno fight was just an "exception" and that Tyson actually looked good right up through the Williams fight.

Tyson never had "exceptions" leading up to the Bruno fight. His performances clearly started to decline after Spinks. He looked poor against Bruno and would lose two fights later.
Time to switch back to your other screenames and go back into hiding. :hi:

Tyson was @ his PRIME from Tillis 1986 to Douglas 1990. :deal

Tyson looked canny mint like a angry bull VS Frankie Bruno 1989. :bbb

Tillis, Green, Boneclincher, Thomas, Biggs And Tucker all were badder shows from Tyson in prime fights then in teh Bruno fight, it a fact. :deal

Yes he did - Tucker and Thomas, at the very least. Ignoring them won't make them go away.

You JUST SAID the Williams fight was "too brief" to glean anything from it, yet now you'll claim it was "clear" he was on the decline in that fight. You can't have it both ways.

And using YOUR logic, you could equally argue that his decline began with the loss, OR that his decline began even before the Bruno fight. It all depends on what you choose to emphasize and what you choose to ignore/excuse.

Time to start making sh!t up, and blatantly contradicting yourself. :hi: Oh wait, too late.

According to some , Tyson's decline started around 5 months of age when he partially split with his mom whom stopped breastfeeding him , then his decline accelerated @ 5 years of age when his mom started working full time and had less time to nurture the young talent. Had Tyson turned pro @ 5 years of age he may have beaten Ali decisively and rule the world until 1996 , when Holyfield decided he was ready for him (Holyfield would have always beaten Tyson according to the same some).

Only you would compare these fights to the Bruno fight, but doesnt surprise me.

No I asked how you could compare a two round fight to a fight that lasted less than 90 seconds.

And using your logic we could change your screename to Foreman Hook. At least he has a comical approach, yours is just moronic. :good

    Oh snap, good one...

I think Tyson got sloppy against Bruno and just wasn't at the races against Douglas. But were his skills really regressed or was he just getting complacent and thinking he could win easily regardless? He's admitted himself he sometimes got too cocky

Was he back to his peak skill/performance against Rudduck?
