Did Usyk look poor vs witherspoon and chisora to get the AJ fight?

    When he fought Witherspoon and Chisora he looked so so.
    All of a sudden he looks great vs AJ.

    No. I said from the start Usyk is a slow-starter. That applies to his fight-to-fight performances as well. There’s also the stylistic factors to consider. Usyk tends to look ragged against come forward sluggers, but dominate stand tall jabbers.

    Witherspoon fight was just sparring

    Chisora went in with no regard for defense, he put everything on KOing Usyk in thr first 4, after that Usyk who had both arms injured dismantled him

    I think styles had something to do with it. I also think Usyk was looking ahead to AJ while preparing for those fights.
    I get the sense that he's been preparing for AJ for years, while AJ looked at him as just another challenger.
