Yea pretty convincing victories for Forrest both times, tho i do think Shane did do better in the rematch.

Yes although I do think the headbutt in the 2nd round of the 1st fight, did effect Mosley somewhat. But Forrest beat up Mosley bad in their 1st encounter, I don't quite know how Mosley got through it. Hearing Mosley yelp in pain from the body shot in the 10th round still makes me wince.

The 2nd fight Mosley fought a smarter tactical fight, but still lost the fight fairly clearly. Although it was somewhat close, the right man still definitely won.

Yes was just a typical case of some guy having your number, overall Mosley was a greater fighter

Crazy how much I have forgotten. I can't tell you a single thing about this fight or remember a single sequence of it. Don't remember it being controversial at all though.

You should give them another look. The Viper was truly awesome in those efforts.

Mosely proved himself better, but I do think Forrest could have went on to have a greater legacy if he hadn't gotten demolished by Mayorga. Now that's an even crazier case of a fighter having someones number. Mayorga was a wild man who later on lost to Trinidad, ODLH, Mosely and a bunch of other guys. I think Forrest probably could have given ODLH the work and had been competitive with Trinidad, just my suspicion.

This. Vernon Forrest had Shane’s number just as Mayorga had his number.

It's crazy that mayorga beat such a technical fighter, twice.

Viper pretty much ruined Shane's confidence

I genuinely don't know how Shane got up from that first knockdown in the first fight. Vernon was pounding him.

I think it was because Mayorga still somewhat cared about technical boxing then and he didn't go 100 miles per minute like we know him for.
