Someone believes that Vitali Klitschko was a better fighter upon returning to the ring in 2008 than he was prior to that point.. Once again, only ONE vote per person please.

I fail to see how he could be better.

I think he peaked during that window after Lewis and before taking a few years off.

He was better at something (footwork, counterpunching), but overall? No.

Vitali from late 90s and early 2000s had better speed and clearly hit harder.

Was more of an arm puncher and was defo slower, punches did not have the same velocity. His style did evolve to compensate though, you look at how he played with prime Adamek. That was a masterclass.

I said he became better to post Lewis but you didn't start the poll that way.

Yes, I think he became a better boxer in his comeback. Better boxer means just that. Not better puncher.

His performances vs Peter and Adamek were masterpieces

Then why the below comment? :

    Where's the disconnect?

I'm pretty sure you meant better "fighter" in general.

Better boxer means more fluid, accurate, better footwork, ect... Yeah, he was better here in his comeback.

Now, do you think Vitali was at his best for Lewis?
