I think he showed incredible durability against Lennox. Don't know about top10 but I rate Floyd's chin high too, yes.

whiose record you mentioned as some kind of finality.

therefore another record was shown to show its not a finality at all.

Klitschko's records shows that he has power.

Just because he isn't primitive and uneducated which someone is associated with, doesn't mean that he should be hated on a daily basis.

again, no one is telling you he doesn't.

again you are chasing arguments that no one is making with you, I suspect because it makes you feel you've won something.

explain who has mentioned being primitive or uneducated as a basis for power.

    be specific, use quotes.

Yes we can agree to disagree. I'd have to go back and watch the Sanders fight to decide if it was a push or not. And dont think I hate you or Vits. We both argue passionately to make our points. I think his historical standing if WAY overrated by many based on a very weak resume. His brother fought in the same era and.has a much better resume. That some refuse to except that...well thats their opinion. Head to head I think he does well, but there is no way to prove that and I dont rate on what might have been but what actually was. I dont knower either you or him to dislike personally. By all accounts Vits is a stand up guy. But I dont rate fighter by that either as many on these forums do. You, Im sure you're a decent enough person and if we ever met in real life we'd get along just fine. But this is the internet. Its entertainment for all of us. There are very few people on here I think I would truly not want to buy a drink for in yhe real world.

No, I didn't mean you hate me, I was referring to your feelings on Vitali, I can see my wording was a bit awkward to make it look that way though. We've always gotten along well enough online in light of our divergent beliefs on Vitali, because you have rational points and are generally respectful.

I'd just say in favor of Vitali's legacy, that Peter and Sanders were the best non k's of the k era, with the possible exception now of Povetkin, and Vitali destroyed them like his brother couldn't. He beat a ton of top 20 guys, not as many top 10 guys as his brother, but had the two best wins, and also was much more dominant in his wins. For me, that still puts him on par or above his brother in legacy, although if Wlad keeps it up awhile longer the point will no longer be debatable. You value top 10 hw fights, and Ring as the arbiter as who is top 10, much more than me. But I'm sure you can respect, if not agree, that it is an entirely rational position, again, even if you don't find it the most rational position, to look beyond that into highest quality fights, number of top 20ish fights, and level of dominance.

My other posts basically cover this. LL and Sanders hurt him, yes, but never kd'd him. Peter and Arreola are the height of Louis and Ali, respectively, and both did land shots on him, though his height and reflexs allowed him to miss most shots. Same with Briggs, who is a tall 6'4 and landed a few good ones on Vitali. Meanwhile, he took plenty of shots from lesser punchers as well, and never went down. Banks and Wepner were light hitters, but still managed to be 2 of the 4 people that knocked Ali down. VK NEVER went down to ANYONE. So yes, in both power and especially chin, there's really no argument he wasn't top notch.

No, Byrd was losing on points, would have been knocked out if not for his Vitali's injury. Vitali had 2.5 hours of surgery to repair his shoulder, hell, Vitali was beating Byrd with one arm, but he did not want his nerve to become damaged, if it had his career would have been over. Vlad easily beat Byrd both times.................

sure, i don't wake up in the morning hoping to be hit by anyone. however, Vitali was not without power in his career. and if we fought those he fought, the vast majority of us, would not have the high ko rate that he has. someone equated Wilder' record with Vitali. if anyone thinks that these two fighters are of the same quality I just had to disagree and leave it with that. can't convince them. can live with their appraisal.
