    1. How are we supposed to know if he had an MRI?

    2. You don't need an MRI for an injury to be legit. You can tell if something feels right or not.

    3. If Ward didn't want to fight anymore, he probably wouldn't have signed up to the fight in the first place.

Actually there's an article in the scene that hunter made the decision to call off the fight. He said that ward had a bit of swelling and pain in his knee and said he would have needed to take a week of of training to let it ease down and be ok to fight. Thing is, wdf would ward be worried about missing a weeks training when his facing a bum like bland? Some boxers go into massive fights carrying injuries, calzaghe fought lacy with no sparring at all due to injury. Ward can't even take a week off training for a bum like bland? Come on

So what do you think is going on? Ward is afraid of his opponent? He's lying and the injury is worse?

The most likely scenario is that Wards injury is legit and this fight isn't important enough for him to risk aggravating it.

None of the alternative theories make sense.

His own trainer said the injury was 'something he would need to take only a week off training for and he would be ok'

My opinion is ward isn't happy not being the main event, and made up or greatly exaggerated an injury to get his own date.

Ward wanted a part of PPV money and of course wasn't given it.

That's a plausible theory, more plausible than many of the theories in here. My only questions would be why agree to the fight in the first place and does not being the main event bother Ward that much? Possible though.

God saw the knee and said "Son, take a few weeks off. I'll find you another TBA to fight on an undercard".

Because more than likely hbo wouldn't have tolerated behavior like that or would have jay z. If he pulled some ridiculous diva nonsense like ' I ant being on the undercard to a big fight that will give me exposure, I want to fight in front of a man and his dog in oakland for millions' or else he actually wanted a slice of the ppv money and was annoyed when he didn't get it . Either way I think this is the reason. Ffs his own trainer who pulled him out said all he would have had to do is take a week off training and he would be perfect, calzaghe fought lacy after being injured for an entire training camp and wasn't able to spar

If he took the week off he wouldn't of been able to make weight. He would either come in overweight or at 175 but with a limp.

I don't generally defend Ward, but it turns out his knee injury is legit. He said Dr. Shaw Hi can verify this. Same doctor that helped his buddy Andre Dirrell through his weak constitution, I mean brain trauma.

I also think Ward injury is genuine and very serious!!!

    as per

    http://www.drugs.com/sfx/testosterone-side-effects.html

''If any of the following side effects occur while taking testosterone, check with your doctor immediately:

Pain, redness, or swelling in the arm or leg''
