I reckon about the time Arthur beat Sinisten easily for the European title he was better than he was now, he should have had another fight for the european title and then been given a shot at an alphabet belt rather than wait another two years until now when he looks dead at the weight, drained and getting past his best. Why did Warren make arthur wait so long for one of these title shots that he hands out to other fighters like sweats. Athur's best years are gone imo and he would have been WBO champion along time ago if it wasn't for Warren.

Warren was in fact very good for his career if you go buy the facts.

The reason he had to wait for his shot was because the super feathweight belts were all held but credible fighters, meaning Arthur would have got his ass beat by any of them, why rush into a crushing loss.

Truth is Arthur wasnt/isnt an elite fighter, the word 'world class' gets thrown around a lot and I think it is unfair to truly world class fighters to throw Arthurs name in the mix, truth is he has always been a domestic/EBU level fighter, no shame in it but thats the truth.

Warren knowing he was a level below the hispanic champions done well to wait for a title fight against Nicky Cook, who failed in his previous WBO title shot at the lower weight of 126 (where he was stopped). That was a genius move, instead of Guzman who is one of the most dangerous boxers p4p, he gets Nicky Cook...and with more money, considering Arthur was handed the 'full WBO title' when Guzman moved up and would have been given the champions share...

Arthur just wasnt good enough, nobodies fault.

    Good post.:happy

I think he should of stayed with Harrison senior (im told he left) his early career bouts were "Amazing" and looked a very hot prospect, add to that the amatuer career, he still does it, just seems he went flat.

A great talent and easy to say he should of stayed with Peter Harrison but he was in the shadow of a damn fine fighter at that time ( Scott Harrison)

I wouldnt blame Warren but i wouldnt excuse him either and hopefully with Wayne M we will finally see his talents truly.

Arthur still has time,no brutal wars/beatings since Gomez, look at Nate Campbell for example, Robbie Pedan sparked him a while back and he asked him too, look at him now. Arthurs career is far from over im hoping :bbb

As pointed out by JC he has never been good enough. If Burns had a bit of a punch on him he would have beaten Arthur. He was just a hype bag and Cook exposed him.

I actually think that AAA has struggled since the Gomez beating. Perhaps that fight left irreparable damage to him.

His constant changing of trainer has also been detrimental to his career; as has the relatively poor level of opponent; which has slowed his progress dramatically. I would say AAA only ever reached about 60% of his true potential.

Hope he can turn it around, and there is still time.

I hope that prospects like Appleby have noted the damage that can be doen to a fighter by not having regular 'challanges,' and gets himself off to the States ASAP, as the domestic scene is no where near strong enough to promote improvement. Our fighters seem to enough domestically, but really struggle when stepping up a level.

Why do people think Wayne Mculloch will help Arthur, did everyone not see in the fight Arthur was looking for inspiration, when all else fails the trainer is the one a fighter looks to, you heard him crying out for it, "raise me up" , "show me some faith" Wayne was not able to motivate his fighter at all, he was telling him to focus in the last round for gods sake. Wayne looked completely out his depth, remember good fighters dont always make great trainers. I hope Arthur gets his rematch with Nicky Cook, if not then i think it should be a rematch wit Gomez if he beats Baz Carey at the weekend, also i think he need to move up to lightweight, there are still domestic level fights he could make good money from and be comfortable once he stops boxing, but thats where i think he needs to leave it at and forget all the talk about wanting to be a 3 weight champion, i personally think its a bit late for that.

Tbh my comments regarding Wayne M were more a hopeful one. I just hope he sticks with someone long enough for Arthur and ( insert newest coach) to find a level of understanding

Personally I just think he's spent at the weight and has gone stale. He remains the most under-rated fighter on ESB.
