All time greats say Wilder is an all time great, too.

They say he's one of them.

    Argument over.

What place does he have to cement? His best wins are Stiverne and Ortiz.

He cemented his place with guys like Shavers, Lyle, Cooney, Ruddock, Cleveland Willams, Bonecrusher...big fun punchers who are nonetheless not good enough to be real champs.

Wilder was ko'ed twice and soundly outpointed in the first bout except the judges screwed Fury.

The third fight was over in the 6th as your guy demonstrated a severe lack of stamina, something all the ATGs seem to possess. From rd 6 on it was a matter of time before wilder got ktfo and that he did in the 11th. So the first 5 rds were exciting but the last 6 were not.

    But hey, enjoy your fantasy.

No, he is not an ATG, he proved he has a hell of a lot of courage and heart.

He redeem himself after the second fight, his reputation was rock bottom especially with all the excuses and the way it ended.

So he did himself a lot of good, probably at a lot of cost but it's what he wanted, he wanted the opportunity to go out like a champion and he did.

Wilder was never the best HW in the world, never recognised as The Champ.

So put him alongside others who have that category of being a title holder, but not The Champ.

    Chagaev, Ibragimov, Ruiz etc.

    Absolutely not.
One exciting fight against by far his best opponent proved he has a huge heart, that's about it.
I respect anyone that gets into a boxing ring, but let's have some perspective.
In 30 rnds v Fury, Wilder possibly won 5 of them, he had a 2/3 hugely successful rnds. For the majority of the 3 fights he was rag dolled.......and l'm not a Fury fanboy.

Where do you think it ranks in the history of great fights in the heavyweight division?

WTF is this thread, a troll one ?
Wilder is a overrated bum, and has always been. I have been saying this for long, long time now.
Neither of Fury or Wilder is an ATG. Wilder doesn't have a chance. Fury has. If he beats Whyte(mandatory) and AJ/Usyk he is there.

If beating Ortiz twice and losing to Fury twice (and 1 gift of a draw) makes an ATG then the bar has fallen onto the ground and would somebody please put it back into place?

If you want to be an ATG, you have to beat someone better than Ortiz, Breazeale, Stiverne and Spilka.

to cement something first you need to have it.

Wilder was never an ATG material

The only thing he cemented was a stay in the hospital followed by 6 months ban from the beating he took.

    My takeway

+ Wilder showed a glimpse that he could fight to a plan in the 1st round with a decent body jab
+ Wilder showed great heart to last until the 11th

    - Wilder could not or would not stick to the gameplan that was working well in round 1
    - The xtra mass did nothing for his cardio
    - He was gassing by round 3 and staggering like a drunkard from round 6 on, wide open to shots
    - Defence was non-existent after round 1 - looked to me he reverted to relying on his right hand
    - Aside from his right hand he had nothing else - the few left hooks we saw were dreadful

Nothing there suggests to me anything even HOF worth as oppposed to ATG.
