I agree with MR BILL that a long tail end to a career is damaging to a reputation and Saad Muhamad is good example.

Poor Wilfredo was none too sharp and relied too much on youthful athleticism. As he got older he needed to train more but he was never the most motivated in the Gym.

His Father was a horrible ******* and I doubt Wilfredo saw much of his money and probably HAD to fight to live a life. Sadly now he is a wreck and his career, which had some huge highs, is over-shadowed by SLR, Hearns, Hagler and Duran.

Completely confuses me how he would be overshadowed by Duran. He outclassed Duran at Jr. Middleweight when Duran was 29 years old.

I agree but history has been very kind to Mr Duran.

True, but Robby never really got the ever lovin' spit beat outta him even when he was age 40 or so..... Robby was still fighting on the world class level up until 1962, give or take a year.........

Poor Willie Benitez began his slide down the drain at the adavanced age of---23 yrs.........

Roberto Duran is a TRUE icon and legend in ALL "Spanish & Latin" countries amongst the globe............... Sorry to say, but to this date, Wilfred Benitez is NOT!!! Benitez is really only big in his native Puerto Rico... Well, he was.......
